The Centraal Museum in Utrecht is organising contemporary art exhibitions in Oud-Amelisweerd, a country house on the outskirts of the city of Utrecht. From 2022 two exhibitions of renowned Dutch artists will be presented on the first floor of Landhuis Oud-Amelisweerd each year. Hannah van Bart is the third artist participating in this programme after the previous solo's by Amie Dicke & Marijke van Warmerdam.

In Oud-Amelisweerd, Hannah van Bart presents in her solo exhibition (1 Apr. – 20 Aug. 2023) a selection of portraits, landscapes and still lives of the past 20 years of her career, with many pieces exhibited for the first time in the Netherlands. Using a recognisable drawing-like character and a muted use of colour, van Bart paints figuratively, although rarely from existing images as she takes light, the weather or atmospheric qualities as point of departure for her paintings.

This programme is a partner project of Hartwig Art Foundation. Next exhibition: Han Schuil (2 Sep. – 12 Oct. 2023).
